Not everyone is born with beautiful teeth. Crooked teeth or spaces between the teeth may be a source of embarrassment or self-consciousness. Improperly aligned teeth and jaws- called a "malocclusion"- also can lead to a host of sometimes painful dental disorders.
The good news is that orthodontic treatment can correct these problems…and help you achieve a healthy, beautiful smile that’s good for life.

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends children get their first orthodontic check-up at the first recognition of an orthodontic problem, but no later than age 7. Around that age, children have a mix of baby (primary) and permanent teeth. An examination as permanent teeth takes the place of baby teeth, and as the face and jaws are growing, gives us a wealth of information.
Today, one in four orthodontic patients is an adult. Advances in orthodontics have made treatment more comfortable and less noticeable than ever. Many of today's treatment options are designed to minimize the appearance of the appliances to better fit any life style.
