What is TMD / TMJ?
Tempormandibular Joint (TMJ) is a paired joint, where the lower jaw (mandible) meets the temporal bone of the skull just in front of the ears. This is the most complex joint in the body.
Temporomandibular Disorder (TMD) is the name given to the condition that negativity affects the joint. You can imagine the strain that we place on this joint as we breathe, talk, eat and swallow (2,000 times) on a daily basis as well as clench and grind teeth.
